Programme profile
Global interest in food science is increasing due to the demand for healthy nutrition and the dynamic growth in the area of food enterprises.
This multidisciplinary programme aims at providing students with the knowledge and technical skills necessary to become food and beverage technology experts. They will also be furnished with core business and management skills, that will enable them to work as managers in food production businesses, to work in the public sector, including consumer protection agencies or to start their own food production or food safety business.
Programme content
The programme will give students a basic knowledge in the fields of biology, chemistry, physics and engineering. It also provides the opportunity of learning the basic principles of food industrial processing, food technologies and quality management.
Participants will have the unique opportunity of acquiring specific knowledge of different production technologies related to their specialisation.
The programme places great emphasis on the economic, marketing and financial aspects of food chain management.
